Tell us about yourself:

Hello, I'm Steven Arevalo, I've been in the coffee industry for 16 years. I joined the Amor Perfecto company 10 years ago, I am the Education Director of our coffee academy and have been in 8 competitions.
A curious fact is that they call me the Coffee Poet, because of my passion for talking about coffee and for the passion with which I teach our different Courses.

What are you excited to do while you visit Busan?

I am very excited because it has been my dream, now my goal to represent my country in this important competition.

Korea is a country for me with a lot of history, a lot of culture and gastronomy. Interesting, full of nobility and kindness.

It is a pride for me to be Colombian and to show the world why Colombia is a land of specialty coffees and a land of great baristas.

What are your interests outside of coffee?

I love driving my motorcycle, seeing different places, traveling, learning about the culture of other countries and their gastronomy.

Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize or who helped you to prepare for the WBC?

I want to thank God, my parents and my sister, my girlfriend.
